Protecting Our Clients and Our Staff is Our Top Priority

It's all over the world and all over the news, and now you're wondering what that means for you and your loved ones. We want you to know that we are making every effort to assist in limiting the spread of COVID-19. Being elderly, our clients are at a significantly higher risk for severe health impacts after contracting the virus.

We already have the advantage of having a smaller group of individuals per home than in a traditional nursing home, which reduces points of contact for possible transmission. We are taking this a step further by asking our clients to limit visitors, even family members, until after the virus has passed. While this may be a temporary inconvenience, we want to see you remain healthy and safe.

Practicing Healty Habits

In addition to limiting visitors, all household members are encouraged to:

  • Clean their hands at the door andat regularintervals
  • Disinfect surfaces like doorknobs, tables, and handrails regularly (or have care staff do so)
  • Create habits and reminders to avoid touching their face and cover coughs and sneezes
  • Increase ventilation by opening windows or adjusting air conditioning

We are requiring our caregivers to stay home if they are exhibiting symptoms of the virus, or have come into contact with someone who has shown symptoms.

In addition, we are taking extra precautions for those with significant underlying health conditions, including heart, lung, or kidney disease; diabetes; and conditions that suppress the immune system.

We believe that if everyone practices these healthy habits and heeds our guidelines, then we can get through this as a family and come out stronger on the other side.
